Like every other person on this earth, I have made mistakes - I'd go far as to say that on the balance, I am not a good person. But I try to be, if only to be worthy of someone as amazing as you. You bring out the best in me - but more than that, you make me want to be a better person.

You have always encouraged me to push my perceived limits - to be a healthier person, a more motivated worker, and an ethical operator. You have questioned me when I went down the wrong paths, and you supported me when life pushed me down. I want to be there for you, and dedicate my life to be your support structure - the anchor that you can depend on in the turbulent seas of life to hold you steady.

One thing I remember fondly when I walk the streets here are our lunch and dinner dates. Both of us are foodies, but it's more than just about the taste. We are people who appreciate different ambiences and cuisines - and love to explore the different palates the world has to offer us and our 'restricted' vegetarian appetites. Everytime I cross a restaurant, I make a mental note of the different dishes I want to make you taste, and which seat we would want to sit at - invariably it is that corner table with a candle and a view looking out at the fairy light installment.

Ps. Today you opened up to me about all the stress you've been under on this Kerala trip, with the hotel rooms, and with getting news about trouble back home - I wish I was there with you, holding you. Family troubles predate us, and sometimes we are not in a position to course correct and even help. I realize that you feel the same helplessness towards their situation, that I feel when I see you go through something but am in no position to help. The best I can offer you is that I will listen, and be there for you as a moral support.
