We decided to write each other vows, as we step into the next chapter of our adventure together, and it occurred to me then, that I would never have enough words, or the right ones even. And yet, these words by John Legend puts a nice little wrapper around everything I want to promise you.

Our life over the last six years would have no doubt cast a bright light on all my inadequacies, but you have loved me more for them, not less. I would like to believe that I too love you in all your strengths and weaknesses - and if not, then that is something I would like to spend the rest of my life doing. Because every time I look at you, there's a new layer to this already amazing, complicated, strong person - another secret to unravel, another aspect to love.

I can't wait to start our lives together - free of the secrecy and the scrambling for dates. If London has taught me anything, its that I love the theatre. And I want to go to theatre with you to watch plays, and musicals - drama or comedy. I have already started to compile a list, and I can't wait for you to join me here so we can make weekend plans for this. This photo, from the IHC, where we also saw our first Shakespearean play together - is one of my favourite memories.

Ps. Today you asked me if I would leave you if you went into a depressive spiral where you refused to go to work or leave the bed or talk or eat. I would not leave you. I would stay with you, and give you company. I would pamper you and bug you and tickle you and kiss you. I would even get frustrated and throw temper tantrums. BUT I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU.
