68 Days to Go

There was a time back in the day, I used to resent the fact that Delhi was not a great city to be dating in. My logic went, that what is there to do, but find restaurants and eat. Or go watch a movie. It turns out I was limited only by my imagination. Our best times have come exploring Dilli Haat, photography in Safdarjung and Lodhi gardens, or Art street. I promise to be better at selecting dates for us – we will go ice skating, or go watch a play, or go to a concert, or just take a long walk in the evening with an ice cream at the end of it.

I know how conscious you are about your body and your looks, so I have to also vow to always click you and show you how beautiful you are in the eyes of this beholder. So go ahead and make as many “Why you do this” looks like in this pic, I will always hug you and get clicked with you – my beautiful angel.

We didn’t get to talk today, and I am slightly upset about that, but I promised you never to go to bed upset with you, so here’s me taking it out in a constructive way. I understand sometimes you need your space away from me – and it is during times such as those that I feel the distance, because if I were there with you, I could give you your space, while being near you. A silent presence, always ready with a hug, even if talking and dealing with me is off the table.

Ps. Life’s road is long and winding, and I am glad I’ll have your company for the rest of it.
